I think I'm finally over the notion of me & you
Over the emotions, over all we'd do
Cus I realize the only way to start anew
is rid myself of reminders of you
Erased your memory from my wall
Realized we were never meant to be at all
Thought about how much we let the other fall
Until it was too late.
Now I want a clean slate,
I wanna celebrate love, I want something truly sent from above
Maybe I've already found him, maybe I'll never know
Maybe if I just follow this path wherever it goes
I'll end up in his arms, two fish going with the flow
Questioning what everyone else thinks they already know
Can't accept what's on the surface, we'll have to dig below
He & I will grow together, blow down together
no matter the weather
Maybe we'll both love art
& the unexplainable side of life
Or maybe we'll both love the same part
of Lights In The Sky
And maybe he'll remind me
he's right here beside me
He'll confide in me,
lay outside with me in the fall
be at my beck & call,
ya know the type known to enthrall
won't make me feel small
The more I think, this is all
too much to ask
Any fool could put on that mask
but very few could be the real thing..
I guess we'll just see what this life brings
